Autumn Make-Up Must Haves..

This post is just going to be all about my Autumn Make-Up Must Haves. I tend to wear more makeup in the Autumn & Winter months.
I stick to neutral tones like brown, gold, cream and sometimes black. My look stays mostly the same everyday because its appropriate for work and its quick and easy to do in the morning.

Face :

Revlon Colourstay in 110 Ivory
Sleek Luminous Pressed Powder in Light/Medium
Nars Laguna Bronzer as a contour
MAC Blush in Her Blooming Cheek on the apples of my cheeks.
Benefit High Beam

Eyes:

Benefit Lemonaid primer.
Benfit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow/Liner in Pre Nup all over the lid.
17 Eyeshadow in Statuesque all over the lid.
MAC Sketch Eyeshadow through the crease.
MAC Carbon Eyeshadow in the outer corner and blended slightly into the crease.

Lips:

Vaseline Rosy Lips
Gosh Darling
MAC Half n Half or Faux

It sounds like a lot of makeup to apply every day but when applied it looks quite natural and pretty. If I manage to fix my camera then I'll post pictures on here of the finished look.

Smashbox High Definition Healthy FX Foundation

I purchased this foundation about a month ago, used it once then it got pushed to the back of my drawer and not used. Then my favourite Revlon Colourstay ran out so I dug this one out of my drawer and started using it. I liked the way it felt and it blended into my skin really easily using a Duo Fiber brush. After a few weeks of using it I noticed that my skin had become fresher, more revitalized because of this product. Another thing I liked about Smashbox High Definition Healthy FX Foundation is the oil-free weightless formula. When you stroke a few drops in your face, you will notice the lightness of its consistency. It easily absorbs in your skin and your skin’s texture will improve as days go by with consistent application. Best of all, it has SPF 15 for sun protection and it contains Vitamin C too to fight free radicals in your skin. The price tag is reasonable for such a good quality foundation so I didn't have a problem with paying £28 for it.

This is Smashbox's claim
"Now you can have flawless skin from the inside out. Our revolutionary HIGH DEFINITION HEALTHY FX FOUNDATION is an oil-free, weightless formula packed with anti-aging, revitalizing, and firming ingredients that work overtime to provide cellular nutrition for skin."I don't need an anti-aging foundation as I'm only 19, but I liked the idea of having spf and revitalizing ingredients in my foundation..I'm a Marketing Persons Dream, I'll buy anything which claims to make my skin healthier!

Overall, I like this foundation, but I probably wouldn't buy it again as it has quite a high price tag and the coverage isn't full enough for me.

MAC- A Tartan Tale

I have to say, I'm a bit underwhelmed by this collection. I only purchased 4 things from this collection, Which was a lipstick and 3 eyeshadows.
I think MAC are releasing too many collections too quickly and not making their products "different" enough to be worth the money you pay for Limited Edition products.
The eyeshadows I got were Glamor A Castle, Semi Precious and Golden Crown. Overall I do like them, and I think the tartan pattern in the different colours add a gorgeous effect when applied, but they're not " Oh My God, I need a back up" products in my opinion. The eyeshadow quality is good, it applied smoothly and the texture is lovely. But is it worth £15 of my hard-earned money...Probably not in all honesty.

The lipstick I purchased is a bit of a crazy one, but now I've gone back to having dark hair, I think I can pull it off. Its called "Full Fuschia" and as you can probably tell by the name, its a very bright blue-toned fuschia.
Its an amplified finish so the colour payoff is amazing. I wore this to work with a very neutral eye and light foundation and I got quite a few compliments on it. I normally wouldn't wear such a bright colour during the day because i'm a nude lover, but this lipstick deserved an outing in natural daylight as it looks gorgeous!

Overall, I'm happy with my purchases but I don't think it was worth the amount of money I shelled out on it. I normally love MAC cosmetics but recently the collections have been a bit "blah" and too samey for my liking. I wish MAC would bring out a collection that is totally different from anything they've ever done before!!

Maxfactor False Lash Effect Mascara Review...

I'm a bit late jumping on the bandwagon with this one...But recently I purchased Maxfactor's False Lash Effect mascara, and I love it!
I have quite short, sparse lashes from years of picking my mascara off when I'm bored..Such a terrible habit! So I'm always on the hunt for a "revolutionary" mascara that will make my lashes full and long. I dont normally like mascaras with rubber/plastic wands because I find them scratchy
and irritating on my eyes, but this one has such soft, flexible bristles on it, so it almost feels like a "normal" mascara wand.

This mascara is priced around £10.99 and is available in most Boots & Superdrug stores. Some concession stands in supermarkets also stock this mascara.
Before I found this mascara I was using Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black and I liked it, but it didnt make my lashes long enough to stand out and also they never looked very "voluminous" unless I applied 3-4 coats which made my lashes hard/crispy.

Maxfactor False Lash Effect doesn't make my lashes hard/crispy at all, they still feel soft and healthy even when I'm wearing 3-4 coats of the mascara. It's really easy to remove just using a normal eye makeup remover or a baby wipe.
Overall I love this mascara, and I will definetely be repurchasing it when it runs out, Which is very soon *sob*

EDIT- www.cheapsmells.com sell this mascara for £7.95 :)

All About Lisa-Marie...

This post is going to be dedicated to facts all about me....I warn you now, I'm a pretty standard teenage girl.

I'm called Lisa-marie because my mum had a huuuuge obsession with Elvis Presley when I was born...So lucky me got named after his daughter.

I'm nearly 19 years old, Its my birthday in less than a month..For those wondering its on December 9th :)

I have a ridiculously boring job, but it pays well and helps keep the makeup addict in me happy.

I'm a plus size girl, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I love my curves.

I'm 5ft 7"

I'm a fully qualified florist but I never do floristry anymore, I lost interest when I left college. Now its just an occassional wedding or party.

I wear makeup everyday, without fail. It sounds shallow but I can't leave my house without makeup on...I'm not insecure, I just prefer the way I look and feel when I have makeup on. I feel more "presentable" and "ready to face the world"

I have an older brother, called Iain, he's 24 and still calls me his "baby sister" Ugh!

I drive a Peugeot 106, and everything inside it is pink...right down to the floor mats (which are Hello Kitty btw, Sad...I know.)

I don't have a best friend..I wish I did. But life has changed for me, my little group of "friends" has disbanded and we all went our separate ways.

I hate the dark...I like to see whats going on around me.
I'm terrified of clowns, puppets, ventriloquists dummies and porcelain dolls...
My fear of porcelain dolls stems from when I was little, about 6 or 7, and I had them in my room on shelves..I loved them! And then they just started to freak me out as I got older..and now I'm terrifed of them.

Anywho, enough of my rambling.
I'll insert pictures soon, when I find the cable for my camera...I lost it in my car :(

Introducing Me....

Hey!
So this is my new blog. For those of you who don't already know, I make video's on Youtube under the moniker of lisawonderlandd. So this blog is just a place for random Outfit Of The Days, Face Of The Days and other random stuff.
You can expect to see reviews, product raves and maybe a negative post every so often (I don't like to complain so maybe not...)

I will most probably update this blog a few times a week with outfit posts and short reviews on makeup products I'm loving. I'll do a post dedicated to talking about me, but there will only be one as I hate talking about my personal life with strangers (No Offence Intended!!)

For those of you who are interested in beauty and fashion related videos, I will post the link to my youtube channel, and also to my twitter as I'm always tweeting throughout my work day!
